Emily Sage is an award-winning Independent Songwriter, Producer, Composer, and Soundscape artist. Sage’s music has strong leanings in jazz, soul, and cinema and her romantic songwriting style is largely influenced by her time spent growing up in Portugal. 

Emily Sage studied Songwriting and Music Business at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Looking for a space to build her career and develop her vision, Emily Sage moved to Charlotte, NC. She started an intimate concert series called CLT Loft Sessions in the summer of 2018 so that she could curate the full experience of her concerts. She invited local independent artists to perform at those concerts as well and after the success of the first Loft Session, every event since has sold out. Sage has more recently gotten involved in the world of cinema as a composer with song placements and scoring in award-winning shorts and feature films. She is also a soundscape artist creating score and sound for art installations.

Emily has been asked to speak and perform at many events worldwide such as Sofar Sounds, Women’s March, US National Whitewater Center, and the Knight Theatre. She has spoken and taught workshops on songwriting and overcoming writer’s block around the world in Europe and Africa as well as locally– Denver, Nashville, and Charlotte. Emily’s music has also been featured on NPR, WFAE, DEF | CLT, Charlotte Agenda, and the Queen City Nerve. In QC Nerve’s “Best in The Nest,” Emily Sage was named Critic’s Pick Best Singer/Songwriter of 2019. One of her more recent singles, Lumiére (2021) rose to #17 in the world on Spotify Jazz Charts 2022.
